Anti-Spam Policy

Active Learning Labs does not send, and does not permit others to send, unsolicited commercial email promoting activelearninglabs.com or our services. This policy explains the kinds of email we send, how we protect our platform from abuse, and how to report email that violates this policy.

1. What Email We Send

Email from our domain is limited to the following:

• Transactional messages for registered users, such as account confirmations, password resets, class invitations, assignment and grading notifications, and support notifications.
• Direct business correspondence with teachers, schools, districts, and partners who have contacted us, requested a quote or coupon, or have an existing relationship with us.
• Service announcements that affect your account or use of the platform, such as changes to our terms, privacy practices, or scheduled maintenance.

We send email only to addresses that were provided to us directly by the recipient or by an authorized representative of their school or organization.

2. What We Do Not Do

• We do not buy, rent, or sell email lists.
• We do not harvest email addresses from websites or other sources.
• We do not use affiliates, resellers, or third parties to promote our website by email.
• We do not send email with false or misleading header information, deceptive subject lines, or disguised sender identities.
• We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Promotional Email and Opt-Out

Any promotional email we send includes a clear way to unsubscribe. Opt-out requests are honored promptly, and in no case later than ten business days after we receive them. Once you unsubscribe, we will not send you further promotional email unless you ask to receive it again.

Unsubscribing from promotional email does not stop transactional or account-related messages that are necessary to operate your account, such as password resets or class invitations sent by your teacher.

4. Platform Abuse Prevention

Our platform's forms, including registration, contact, and invitation forms, are protected against automated abuse. We apply rate limits and other safeguards to prevent our systems from being used to send bulk or unsolicited email, and we monitor outgoing email for misuse.

Users of our platform may not use it to send unsolicited email, collect email addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited email, or otherwise engage in spamming activity. Doing so is a violation of our Terms of Use and may result in suspension or termination of the account.

5. Compliance

We follow the requirements of the United States CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable anti-spam laws. Every commercial email we send accurately identifies the sender, includes a valid physical postal address, and provides a working unsubscribe mechanism.

6. Reporting Unwanted Email

To report unwanted email that appears to come from or promote Active Learning Labs, please contact support@activelearninglabs.com. If possible, forward the original message with its full headers so that we can trace its source. We investigate all reports.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website and services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
