In this insightful activity, students will explore the essential skills that employers highly value in recent graduates. They will analyze a table that displays the importance of some skills as per the employers and the percentage of recent grads who are very well prepared for those skills.

As a part of this activity, students will embark on a self-assessment journey. They will not only evaluate the preparedness gap between employer expectations and graduate readiness but also rate their own level of preparedness for each skill on a scale of 1 to 10.

This self-reflection exercise encourages students to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in terms of skills that are in demand in the job market.

Learning Objective

In this worksheet activity, students will analyze data to understand what employers seek in potential employees. They will identify the key skills employers value and assess their own proficiency in each skill by rating themselves. This activity aims to enhance students' awareness of employer expectations and encourage self-assessment and personal development.
