In this crossword-like drag-and-drop math puzzle activity, students will test their knowledge on math operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to solve given mathematical expressions. Students have to drag the operators and the draggable numbers on the left to the appropriate places in the puzzle area. The numbers involved are integer numbers.
This activity can be used as a review activity or a bell-ringer activity and takes only about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Common Core: MATH
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Evaluate expressions at specific values of their variables. Include expressions that arise from formulas used in real-world problems. Perform arithmetic operations, including those involving whole-number exponents, in the conventional order when there are no parentheses to specify a particular order (Order of Operations). *For example, use the formulas V = s^3 and A = 6 s^2 to find the volume and surface area of a cube with sides of length s = 1/2*.
